Nagina Parwez – Psychotherapy & Counselling, Multi Lingual

Nagina is an Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and is registered with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), and with the UKCP as an Independent Integrative Counsellor Psychotherapist. She is an Organisational Consultant in the design and delivery of inter-personal skills training and developmental programmes with over 25 years of clinical experience.

Between 1989 and 1998 Nagina worked with several not-for-profit organisations which have included the Havan Project Refuge for Women Survivors of Domestic Violence, Roof Group Refuge for Women Survivors of Domestic Violence and the Leicester Rape Crisis Centre. In 1999 Nagina worked as a counsellor/coordinator for a Project dealing with survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse and the Leicestershire Domestic Violence Service. Between 2000 and 2004 Nagina was a therapist for the Humberstone Grange Psychotherapy Department of the Leicestershire Partnership National Health Service Trust and established a private practice helping individuals and couples. From 2005 to 2008 Nagina worked as a psychotherapist for Nottingham City Council receiving work place referrals requiring short-term counselling.

Since 2005 Nagina has been a member of the faculty and has lectured at the University of Leicester teaching courses ranging from an Introduction to Counselling Skills to the University’s 2 year course in Counselling.

In addition, Nagina has attended numerous courses in psychotherapy on subjects such as Child Sexual Abuse, Multiple Personality Disorders, Motivational Interviewing Techniques, Working with Clients Suffering from Depression, Managing Anxiety and Stress, Working with Survivors of Sexual and Ritual Abuse.

Conferences Nagina has attended include, the UK Smoking Cessation Conference, The Meningitis Trust, Forced to Marry, the Trans-Cultural Counselling Workshop, the Muslim Arbitration Conference and the BACP Conference.

​

Nagina has had experience in dealing with the media and has appeared in the Leicester Mercury, the Letterbox, MATV, DM Digital Television and the BBC Asian Network.

Kala Patel – Psychotherapy & Counselling, Multi Lingual

Kala Patel BA, MA, PGCE (University of Oxford), PGCCE – post-16 (University of Nottingham) 

Highly experienced with counselling/psychotherapy, and supervision of private clients/trainees/supervisees. Associated paperwork with a client case-load; statistics. CPD.

Kala taught in Secondary schools in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire since 2008. 
She also taught adults at North Warwickshire and Hinckley College (2004-2007) with the Open University (2010-2016).
